Jes and Rick’s wedding was my first one with British guests in 2021. The situation in Italy was still quiteuncertain, both for the state of the pandemic and for the restrictions the government had decided in terms of participants. We were unsure that their wedding could happen at all, and they had already postponed the date from 2020. Luckily, we were able to celebrate this beautiful couple with their sweet Staffordshire bull terrier Lilou, and everything was perfect. Lilou turned out to be adorable, a true princess!

Below, a short passage written by Jes and Rick, about their special day:

Happiness is finally reaching your wedding day after 2 years of planning, 12 months postponement, 1 week of quarantine and the uncertainty of how many guests will actually arrive. We didn’t make it easy for ourselves, a British bride, an Italian groom, living in France and deciding to marry in Tuscany, however, in the end it was all completely worth it.  We were fortunate enough to spend the most special day of our lives with our nearest and dearest along with the most important guest of all, our dog Lilou.  The location was like somewhere out of a film, with the Tuscan hills, the beautiful hamlets, all the natural flowers and of course the wine!  The day started off perfect, with the guys messing around in the pool and the girls getting pampered with prosecco.  As the morning slowly passed the groom became more nervous and the bride became more relaxed, with friends and family slowly starting to arrive it was all systems go! After that, the day was a blur, vows exchanged, tears were shed, legs were licked by the dog and plenty of food and wine was drank.  Whilst the guest list wasn’t quite as many as we had planned (thanks to COVID), the dance floor was never empty and the stilettos came off! Dancing into the night with lots of laughter, it’s safe to say it was one of the happiest days of our lives.” Heartfelt thanks to Daniela Ferrari ( IG Daniela Ferrari) for her precious help.
