A Fun and Rock’n’Roll Wedding in a Tuscan Villa

Jes and Rick’s wedding was my first celebration with British guests in 2021, and it took place at the beautiful Valle di Badia, a charming Tuscan villa surrounded by the rolling hills near Pisa.

At that time, the situation in Italy was still quite uncertain due to the pandemic and the restrictions imposed by the government regarding the number of guests allowed at weddings. For a while, we weren’t even sure their wedding would be able to happen, especially since the couple had already postponed their big day from 2020.

Luckily, everything eventually came together and we were finally able to celebrate this wonderful Italian-British couple with their closest friends and family.

And there was also a very special guest: their beautiful Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Lilou, who completely stole the show. Sweet, elegant and incredibly well-behaved, she followed the couple throughout the day like a true little princess, making the celebration even more personal and turning it into a truly dog-friendly wedding in Tuscany.

The atmosphere was relaxed, joyful and a little bit rock’n’roll. The day started with the guys having fun around the pool while the girls enjoyed a calm morning getting ready with prosecco, laughter and plenty of excitement. As the hours passed, the groom slowly became more nervous while the bride seemed increasingly relaxed.

When friends and family started arriving, everything suddenly became real.

From that moment on, the day unfolded in the most beautiful way: emotional vows, happy tears, Lilou running around greeting guests, and of course plenty of amazing Tuscan food and wine.

Even though the guest list wasn’t quite as big as originally planned due to travel restrictions, the energy of the day was incredible. The dance floor was never empty, the stilettos eventually came off, and everyone danced late into the night surrounded by laughter and celebration.
