FAQ Wedding Photographer in Tuscany
Frequently Asked Questions
It’s really tough to pin down the style of a wedding photographer because if we’re talking about the aesthetic of our photos, that’s always evolving. Styles shift with the times and with what couples are into. Obviously, the tastes of couples today are very different from the ones I shot 10 years ago. What hasn’t changed for me, though, is my approach. My goal is to tell a story that captures all the human and aesthetic moments that make a wedding special. I’m not an intrusive photographer; I like to step back and let things unfold naturally on such an important day. Most of my work is documentary, always keeping in mind minimalism and aesthetics—because capturing a moment also means making sure it looks good. A small part of my work is more editorial, but even then, I try not to interfere too much with the couple. I guide them only when necessary, to keep things natural while still getting those beautiful moments. Feel free to check out some real weddings here to get a better sense of how I document the day.
No, obviously I can travel all around Italy if it’s necessary to meet with your requests. Obviously, all travelling expenses, that is petrol, tolls and overnight accommodation, can have an imact upon the wedding costs. Also because a wedding out of my region can bring an undertaking of more than one day, as a consequence, this may result in a loss of wedding here in Tuscany.
You can email me at info@andreacorsi.biz – it’s the best way to reach me. Once we’re in touch, we can also set up a Zoom call to dive deeper into what you’re looking for on your big day. If you decide to employ me as your wedding photographer I’ll make you sign a contract that certifies and confirms all your choices and will require a deposit also.
Documentary-style photography is all about capturing what actually happens, so even the most attentive photographer can’t snap a picture of something that isn’t there. The most emotional weddings you see on my blog or my colleagues’ are full of special moments. Of course, sometimes a photographer can make a difference by anticipating or catching an event right as it happens, but if nothing’s going on, there’s not much they can do. That’s why I always encourage the couple and their guests to help create those moments. The more that happens throughout the day, the more unique and heartfelt their story will be.
I’d be lying if I said the location doesn’t matter. By “location,” I mean all the spots that are part of your wedding day. For example, if the bride is getting ready in a tiny, dark room, it’s really hard to take high-quality photos—honestly, no one could under those conditions. Bright and spacious places are key for getting great shots. So, it’s worth keeping that in mind when you’re picking locations, along with all the fun and emotional moments that can happen throughout the day, as I mentioned earlier.
No, I’m not, but if you need something specific, it’s no problem for me. If you want a picture with a close friend or a distant relative, it’s totally fine! Want to capture an important speech before dinner? You got it! The only thing I ask is that dinner is provided if the wedding lasts all day. Just keep in mind that with a documentary style, it’s not possible to guarantee that everyone at your wedding will be in the photos. If you have specific requests, like classic group shots or photos with parents or grandparents, just let me know and I’ll be happy to make it happen. You can even give me a list of the people you want included in the group photos!
It is quite difficult to answer this question because every year there are periods that are in high demand .According to my personal experience if you intend to marry in June or July it would be better to contact me at least a year before especially if the wedding will be celebrated on Saturday or Sunday which are public holidays.
Not at all! Documentary-style photos are meant to capture your wedding day as it truly is, so it wouldn’t be realistic to make someone slimmer or remove wrinkles if they’re naturally there. Since everything is captured in the moment, I can’t always adjust angles to show your “best side.” Remember, your wedding isn’t a fashion shoot! So, if you’re hoping to look slimmer, flawless, and wrinkle-free, you might be more interested in a fashion photographer than a documentary one. In that case, I might not be the best fit for you. Also, I kindly ask not to request retouching after the fact, like adjusting how your outfit looks or removing green water bottles from the table. My job is to capture the day authentically, and unfortunately, I’m not able to work magic like that!
Of course I can! A classic posed picture with your parents and relatives is a memory you want to keep regardless of my style, and I would never dream of refusing to take them. I don’t include them in my website or in my blog as they wouldn’t fit in, but that doesn’t mean I don’t take them! You could even help me with a written list of the guests you want to include..
Well, it’s not so easy to estimate a price because each wedding is a separate situation and many factors and requirements can influence it. The price will depend on our clients’ needs; the best thing to do is to contact me after having seen my website then we’ll talk about your specific needs which will help me define all the economic aspects.
In case you’re interested in the video, Andrea Corsi photographer offers this type of service, including drone service . I’d be happy to send you my offer for the video along with the respective trailers for you to see. However, if you prefer to make a different choice, I can send you a list of independent video operators I have worked with in the past and have had good experiences with. Nevertheless, you have the utmost freedom to make the choice that best suits you on the video front.
About 4-5 weeks after your wedding, I’ll send you a sneak peek of 50-60 photos that you can use for your thank you notes! For weddings in May and June, you’ll get the full set of photos within 2-3 months. For weddings between July and October, it’ll take up to 4-6 months at most. I’ll choose the photos because I believe the “author” should tell the story, not the “characters.” However, if you want specific images that I didn’t pick (you’ll find these in the second gallery I’ll send you, with all the unedited shots), I can definitely edit those for you too.
