Getting married in Tuscany | Agriturismo le Lappe (Cavriglia, Arezzo) | Morgan e Jon
Location Ceremony and Reception : Agriturismo le Lappe
Photographers: Andrea Corsi
thanks to Morgan for his point of view over my photographic work :
“We had a difficult time deciding on a location for our wedding. I, being a Rhode Island girl, wanted a big, fancy, black-tie wedding in a Newport Mansion. Jon, being a shy, reserved guy, wanted to elope. The compromise was a small (24 person) wedding in our 2nd favorite country, Italy. And it turned out to be the best “compromise” I ever made. We searched for a venue with enough bedrooms to house our immediate family and close friends for a week. There were a few options, but none more beautiful than Le Lappe. A picturesque hideaway in the middle of Tuscany, great for day trips to Florence, Siena, Cinque Terre and more. It was the perfect place for a week in Italy and the perfect backdrop for a wedding. Next, we searched for a photographer, I was in love with Daniele Vertelli, while Jon preferred the ever-talented Andrea Corsi. This debate resulted in another excellent compromise, let’s have both! The day turned out beautifully. The best thing about having a wedding in Italy is the people. The chef was outstanding, the florist was beyond impressive, the Le Lappe staff were attentive and went out of their way to make the day wonderful. And then, there were our photographers… They were not just creative and technically skilled, they were so much fun! Andrea will tell you he loves his job, but he doesn’t need to tell you that, you can see it. Andrea treats a wedding venue like a child treats a playground. He jumps, plays, dances, jokes around, pops out of windows… he just has fun! Andrea shoots not only with heart, but with humor and complete love for his job. That’s what makes him the incredible, award-winning photographer that he is. After the wedding ceremony, Andrea asked Jon and I to sit in the tall grass. He and Daniele wanted to use a special technique where one person controls the camera from their phone and the other person holds a giant tripod over the bride and groom… Andrea got the short end of that stick. After taking what seemed liked hundreds of photos, Andrea nearly dropped the tripod and said “I’m sorry, I’m just too old for this”. We all laughed with him! Later in the night, Andrea and Daniele were taking a little break when they heard an uproar in the other room. Our friend Kevin was doing one-armed push-ups. They ran into the room. Kevin was clearly exhausted, but Andrea insisted “again, again”! It was hilarious. Jon’s friends had been torturing each other with physical feats of strength all week and now Andrea and Daniele were joining in the fun. That’s the kind of playful atmosphere they create at a wedding. Just amazing. We could not have asked for a more spectacular wedding. We are beyond grateful that Andrea and Daniele were there to capture every perfect moment. We absolutely love them for it. “
