Destination Wedding in Tuscany at Borgo di Castelvecchio
In the heart of the iconic Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Tuscany, Andrea and Silvan chose to celebrate their love at Borgo di Castelvecchio, an authentic countryside venue surrounded by rolling hills, cypress trees, and warm Tuscan light. Traveling from Swiss, they envisioned an intimate, relaxed, and meaningful celebration — the perfect destination wedding in Tuscany experience for international couples from Europe, the USA, and around the world.
Their wedding unfolded over two days: a casual, joyful pre-wedding gathering the day before (covered in a dedicated article) and the official wedding celebration the following day. This two-day format allowed guests to slow down, connect more deeply, and fully experience Tuscany as a destination, rather than just attending a wedding event.
As an Italian destination wedding photographer, my documentary approach is centered on real emotions, natural interactions, and unposed moments. Andrea and Silvan are a deeply connected couple, and this authenticity is visible in every image — spontaneous laughter, tender glances, and subtle gestures that define meaningful relationships. Their relaxed pre-wedding pizza party perfectly reflects this authentic approach to storytelling — explore the full gallery of their pre-wedding pizza party in Tuscany.
An Authentic Tuscany Wedding Experience for International Couples
Location: Borgo di Castelvecchio, Val d’Orcia, Tuscany, Italy
Audience: International couples from Germany, Europe, USA, and around the world
Photography: Documentary and candid Tuscany wedding photography
Borgo di Castelvecchio offers a timeless and authentic setting for couples dreaming to get married in Italy. Its rustic architecture, open spaces, and panoramic views turn the landscape into an integral part of the story. The ever-changing Tuscan light creates perfect conditions for natural, cinematic photography that feels genuine and emotional.
Increasingly, international couples searching for a wedding photographer in Tuscany or a wedding photographer in Florence are looking for more than just beautiful images. They want a visual narrative of their journey in Italy, an experience that captures both the emotional moments and the unique beauty of the region. Val d’Orcia strikes the perfect balance: authentic, scenic, private, yet easily accessible from Florence and Rome.
Working as a Tuscany wedding photographer, I aim to blend human connection with a strong sense of place. Andrea and Silvan’s wedding exemplifies this balance: an elegant yet relaxed celebration, deeply emotional, grounded in real moments, and framed by one of Italy’s most beautiful landscapes.
